Shortly before working at Sugar and Spice I was going through a separation and was a learning how to begin working again after being a stay at home mom. During that time I knew that I would have to start providing for myself and my kids, so I started looking for jobs. A friend of mine had shown me a S&S job posting for a makeup artist. The studio was a little bit of a drive for me but I knew it would be something that I would love doing every day. So, I took the leap and applied for the position. Later that week, I began my journey at S&S as their new makeup artist.
Right from the beginning, I felt like I belonged with the girls working at S&S. After recently leaving behind my emotionally abusive marriage this was the start to bigger and better things. Since I've started, S&S has continued to be a huge blessing in my life. This job has healed parts of me that I never thought I could gain back. After doing my own session and getting my photos back, confidence that I had lost years ago was coming back.
All this being said, S&S has truly been more than just a place to work, it has changed my entire outlook on life. This job has made the transition from a stay at home mom to a working mom much easier than I ever imagined. There is nothing more satisfying than going to work everyday and taking care of women and making them feel beautiful in their own skin.
I am so thankful to be apart of such an amazing company where we get to show women what everyone else sees when looking at them. Every staff member at S&S truly makes the time in the studio more than worth while. They make you so comfortable just by being there and being yourself. You're always greeted with smiles, laughter and leave with new friendships.
There are so many things that I love about this company but the top two have to be their mission and the compassion that everyone involved holds. It has been a great journey so far and I cant wait to see what the future holds!
